Frequently Asked Questions



The Module can be accessed by participants through this Online Mediation Training Portal.


Judicial officers or lawyers, with at least 10 years of experience, are eligible to apply for the training through the Online Mediation Training Portal. After you have applied for the Training, the selected candidates will receive a communication confirming that their application was successful, and provide them with credentials [User ID/Password] to access the training.


The goals of this training program include understanding the root causes of conflicts, learning mediation techniques, enhancing communication and negotiation skills, transforming competition into cooperation, and preparing participants to act as effective mediators.


The training spans 40+ hours, with 30+ hours of pre-recorded Technical Sessions, to be viewed by participants within a fixed duration and 10+ hours of Online/Interactive sessions which shall be conducted on fixed dates. The Module is designed to be completed over a period of 2-3 weeks.


Participants should have basic computer skills, and have the ability to navigate through digital content. They must also be able to manage time, in order to complete the sessions within the stipulated timeframe.


The Training Module comprises 30+ hours of pre-recorded Technical Sessions and 10+ hours of Online/Interactive Practical Sessions. The 30+ hours of pre-recorded Technical Sessions cover key aspects of mediation and are arranged in specific order to achieve desired learning outcomes. Participants will be required to watch these pre-recorded sessions completely within a fixed duration. The 10+ hours Practical Sessions will be interactive and be conducted through role play, stimulation exercise, live problem solving exercises, etc. by master trainers of MCPC, on fixed dates.


Participants will be provided access to the Online Mediation Training Portal where they will be able to access videos and other resource material to support their learning.


By the end of the training, participants should understand mediation concepts, acquire essential mediation skills, and be capable of assisting the contesting parties to arrive at a settlement through communication and negotiation techniques.


Yes, participants who successfully complete the training will receive a completion certificate from the competent authority.


Participants require a stable internet connection and a recent version of a supported web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).


The pre-recorded Technical Sessions allow the participants to pause the training and resume later, however the Practical Sessions will be conducted on fixed dates, and participants must attend those, to complete the training.


Yes, the Online/Interactive Practical Sessions will be conducted virtually on fixed dates, which will be informed to all successful applicants.
